1. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not ask for or collect Instagram credentials, passwords, or direct access to your account.
• We do not store downloaded video files on our servers permanently. Video content is streamed from Instagram's CDN to the user and is not retained after the streaming response completes.

2. Information We May Collect Automatically

• Request data: when you use the site, we record basic request logs such as your IP address, timestamps, user agent string, and the requested URL for security and abuse prevention (rate limiting).
• Temporary tokens: when you request a download, the backend generates a signed, time-limited token (expires in 5 minutes). Tokens are cryptographically signed and do not contain personal data beyond the extracted media URL necessary for streaming.

3. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

The service uses cookies only as required to interact with Instagram safely (CSRF token handling during extraction) and standard session cookies set by third-party libraries when making server-side requests. We do not use persistent tracking cookies for analytics.

4. Third-Party Services

We fetch public content directly from Instagram's servers when extracting and streaming a reel. This means Instagram (Meta) and its CDN providers may process requests and log access. We may use small open-source libraries and standard hosting infrastructure; these providers may collect limited operational data under their own policies.

5. Data Retention

Downloaded videos are not stored permanently by ReelFetchr. Request logs and temporary operational logs may be retained for a limited time (typically up to 30 days) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging, and then purged routinely.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the service and data (HTTPS, rate limiting, token signing, input validation to prevent SSRF). However, no internet transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Choices

You can stop using the site at any time. If you request removal of logs associated with your requests, we will evaluate and comply with valid requests where feasible, subject to legal and operational constraints.

8. Legal and Copyright

ReelFetchr only supports downloading public reels. It is the user's responsibility to ensure they have the right to download and reuse content. Downloading or redistributing content without permission may infringe copyright or the Instagram Terms of Service.

9. Children

Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
